Welcome to our June 2023 issue of ProCARE Perspectives, where we highlight important, relevant healthcare news, compensation trends, and provider integration topics. We’re here to help you keep up with it all!

Healthcare workers agree: employers aren’t doing enough

Healthcare workers’ mental, financial and physical well-being has worsened in the last year. Worse yet, significantly fewer healthcare employees feel their pay is linked to their performance (compared to all employees), and repeatedly indicate they do not feel valued at their organization – a top reason they would leave their job.

AI technologies will result in increased quality of life and longevity

What does healthcare look like in 100 years? Healthcare leaders speculate that technological advancements will further enable precision medicine, personalized care and a much lighter reliance on hospitals. Predictions include disease prevention, surgery in utero, cancer cures and more. What do you feel the future holds?

Takeaway: Is your organization exploring and/or adopting technologies to address challenges and growth 0, 5, 20 and 100 years from today?

Successful treatment does not mean happy patients

Recent years further prove the importance of provider interactions on overall patient experience. Even when treatments are successful, patient satisfaction and trust is low. Hospitals are combating patient complaints with initiatives focused on training providers to engage with patients in difficult situations, among other things. But can an unsatisfied provider provide satisfactory care?

Takeaway: How can your organization support physician well-being to ensure exceptional patient experiences?
