Remarkable Leadership and Compliance Programs Create Ethical Companies
Six U.S. health systems were named to the Ethisphere Institute’s “World’s Most Ethical Companies” list. The Ethisphere Institute defines and measures corporate ethical standards in five categories: governance, leadership and reputation, a culture of ethics, ethics and compliance program, and environmental and societal impact.

Inclusivity, Pay Equity and Community Benefit Reflected in Executive vs. Hospital Worker Pay Gaps
CEO pay at large has been a target of criticism by workers in recent months. Lown Institute measured Hospitals’ social responsibility via inclusivity, pay equity, community benefit, care value, and outcomes metrics, looking at gaps in hourly wages between executives and hospital workers without advanced degrees. Only 66 achieved ‘A’s’ on equity, value and outcomes.

Physician Specialties Burnout Rates Continue to Climb
Since 2018, physician burnout has continued to significantly increase. Last year, 53 percent of physicians reported burnout. Among them, emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and infectious diseases are ranked the highest.
